Eligibility Requirements

  1. Completed a program of study at a designated learning institution (DLI)
  2. Studied full-time for at least 8 months
  3. Graduated from a program that was at least 8 months long
  4. Apply within 180 days of receiving written confirmation of program completion

The duration of your PGWP depends on the length of your study program:

  • Less than 8 months: Not eligible for PGWP
  • 8 months to less than 2 years: Same length as the study program
  • 2 years or more: 3 years
